On May 9th, Elyne and Hannah volunteered at Ekoli’s Questival, a science outreach initiative specifically aimed at children from more socially and economically challenging backgrounds, for whom access to scientific activities is not always self‑evident. During the event, we introduced the children to oobleck, a playful and surprising non‑Newtonian fluid. Through hands‑on experimentation, the children discovered how oobleck can behave like a solid when pressure is applied, yet flow like a liquid when handled gently. This interactive approach allowed complex scientific concepts to be explained in an accessible, engaging, and inclusive way.
